EU is still the most developped continent in the world, not the most powerfull but that's to be expected when comparing Asia and Europe size and population.

Well, there is an emergence of "Bai Lan", or "let it rot" and there has been democratic movements in China due to the CCP being a totalitarian cyberdystopia, and the CCP has even appealed to the masses by telling the youth that they'll change due to their frustrations! (SUPRISE).

We could see a revolution and the fall of the CCP, but we also may not if they can engineer surveillance systems that prevent revolutions.

I don't know if humanity can solve the birth rate issue. One could say that they can do immigration, but assuming they do it right, it'll just buy them more time, not solve it.

Also, one could say that they could do IVF with surrogates or artificial wombs, but the surrogates are not a good long-term strategy, and artificial wombs would probably result in pretty autistic, socially dysfunctional and cold children.

There are many scenarios as to what could happen with China. It could possibly die out with a wimper. Overthrowing of the CCP and still die out with a wimper, I don't know.

Whatever the solution is to the birth rate crisis, it will necessitate a radical and fundamental paradigm shift in how we see the world, ourselves, how we view society, our relation to other people and spirituality, on how we organize our communities, what technologies we do or do not use, our lifestyle, and even how humans are engineered biologically... A paradigm shift similar to agricultural and technoindustrial society.

If we don't solve it, global civilization could regress technologically, culturally, socially, etc. and most humans would die off. Leaving only the disconnected, rural ones alive like the Amish.
