modeling isn't always about being appealing. It's sometimes about having freakish and exaggerated features. That's what they look for.

no it is about that, it's just been hijacked by gay race communists to promote muh representation, muh body posiitivity, muh diversity. aka removal of standards so subhumans can participate. it's motivated by self interest because these spiteful mutants wouldn't be able to find employment anywhere without the standards being nonexistent.

actually no.

The point has always been about appeal. Appeal is necessary to sell clothes. Hence why designers choose beautiful models to advertise their clothing or other products.

The modeling industry makes the biggest use of the halo-effect. Models' halos are used to make products look appealing to people, even when the products might look shitty on the average joe.

That's exactly why models have to be 6'1+ (male) 5'8+ (female) because the clothes they advertise look best at that height and the whole look harmonises well.

They try to be inclusive so bad but it's litteraly killing the point of modeling, not everyone can be beautiful, not everyone can look good, trying to include everybody in something that is by definition rare is a contradiction

Even if you look good you're not gonna ever look as good as chico, that's the point, that's why the clothes look effortlessly good on him

Hiring sub 5 models cause "muh striking" is bullshit, a car accident is striking but it's not something you want to look at or remember

exactly. and the vast majority of models being cast is still 8+/10. Which is exactly why i dislike some uggos being cast for fake diversity. there's plenty of good looking asian and black models, no need to cast ugly ones.

They want to cast ugly ones to appeal to the average person who wants to see themselves on a runway

Complaining that the models don’t look good enough is like complaining millionaires aren’t making enough money

There are different kinds of appeal. The philosophy has clearly changed as of late.

Why would anyone want to be in the modeling industry, such a dogshit job that pays nothing unless you wrap your lips around some old rich mans dick

Exactly they’re not looking for perfection, they’re looking for uniqueness.
