Let me tell you a little secret. Ethnics are the biggest coomers here. The welfare system is decent, I cannot deny it. I have family members given as much as a minimum wage worker every month for free and half of our rent paid. However, cost of living is still high and overall QOL has gone down.

I've lived there for a quite a bit in the past. There's some things I really like, like the country side, walks, (usually) free, excellent museums and the cultural heritage. Sometimes people can be very sound too, but that's rare in the city. I was fortunate to live in posh places but I'd probably kms if I had to live in somewhere like Birmingham. I still enjoy visiting London but it'd be difficult to live there full time.
