The Ultimate Guide to Looksminning

Introduction
Looksminning: or the act of engaging in behaviors or making choices that intentionally or unintentionally worsen one’s appearance. This is a guide more geared toward newbies but hopefully everyone can learn and apply something!
In this guide I will go over the 5 pillars of looksminning and how to stop looksminning and start mogging.

Sleep is literally the most important thing in your toolbox. There is literally no excuse for not being able to get 8-9 hours of high quality sleep daily. You know what you have to do: Fix your shitty sleep schedule, sleep in a cool pitch black room (most natural melatonin secretion), limit blue light exposure, limit caffeine intake past 3pm, and don't eat big meals right before sleep. Consider taking a melatonin or magnesium (glycerinate) supplement and or use an eye mask if you have trouble sleeping well. Sleep can improve every facet of your appearance. Shitty skin? Sleep can help. Eye bags? Sleep will fix. Recovery? Sleep is when it happens.
TLDR: GET BETTER SLEEP

Gut Health is key in any ascension. The old adage is true: you are what you eat. So if you eat like a chad your skin, energy levels, and muscular development will all be improved and will provide a basis for future softmaxxes. Signs of an unhealthy gut: frequent upset stomachs, irregular bowel movements, bloating, acne, and inflammation. if you have two or more of these symptoms you may have an unhealthy gut. Another sign of an unhealthy gut is bloating / inflammation of the face which is a MAJOR LOOKSMIN. To fix these issues and learn more check the BOTB threads about this (Im not going to rehash points that have been beaten to death). Eat a high fiber, diverse diet consisting of different vegetables and fruits, milk, and high quality meat. This goes without saying but SAY THE FUCK AWAY FROM FAST FOOD/GREASY FOOD (it's not even food jfl).
TDLR: STOP EATING SHITTY FOOD, DEBLOAT, EAT PROPER.

Sedentary Lifestyle involves a lifestyle in which one is generally physically inactive and does little to no physical movement/exercise. Just like sleep, there is absolutely no excuse to have a sedentary lifestyle. The side effects of little to no movement are anxiety (cortisol spikes), obesity, migraines and pale skin (im assuming if you live a sedentary lifestyle you dont go outside much). There is also studies linking a sedentary lifestyle to diminished blood flow to the brain and therefore a gradual decline in cognitive ability over time. The fix is simple: Go on walks in the dawn and dusk (will help your circadian rhythm), go to the gym consistently, and stand up/walk around during long periods of sitting. You should be working out 4-5x a week and walk 5k+ steps per day at minimum.
TDLR: STOP BEING A FUCKING LOSER AND GET ACTIVE

Not being properly hydrated/not drinking water is one of the easiest looksmins to fix but it is also one of the most common among newbies. Not drinking enough water will impact both kidney and gut function. Drinking water will, like sleep, improve nearly every facet of your appearance including acne, bloating, lack of vascularity, eye bags, cognitive and physical function, and dry lips. You should be aiming from anywhere from 1-2+ liters of water daily (there's really no upper limit but after 3-4 liters it becomes redundant and you'll have to run to the bathroom constantly). I recommend getting a medium-big metal water bottle and filling it with filtered water from a double osmosis filter. Also don't drink any soda/sugary drinks (you shouldn't be anyways jfl)
TLDR: DRINK MORE WATER

Cortisol is a stress hormone that tends to suppress testosterone production and reduce the effectiveness of GH in the body. Cortisol is released when the body is under intense psychological or physical stress. Having high cortisol for a consistent period can lead to effects such as: rapid/unexpected weight gain, suppressed immune/anti inflammatory systems, poor sleep, "cortisol face", and even bone loss (over long periods of time, typically in older women though). You can reduce coristol levels by sleeping properly, practicing meditation/mindfulness, eating properly, and limiting coffee/alchohol (the high from coffee is quiet literally stimulates cortisol release). Supplements like Ashwagandha, Magnisium (glycerinate), and Omega 3s can lower and mitigate cortisol. A tip that I usually employ when im being stressed out is asking myself "will this matter in 3 years?".
TDLR: MANAGE YOUR STRESS

Overall these are very basic things but I still see people fucking them up every day. Sleeping well, eating well, working out, and reducing stress are the keys to any looksmaxxers ascension. Thanks for reading my thread, have a good day and good luck on your ascension! :feelsgood:
