People at their core are self interested. Everything revolves around “what can people do for me?”. Every traditionally “good” or virtuous trait stems from subservient behaviour.

If you bend your knee and fulfill others interest you’re good - if you don’t you’re bad. Life is a zero-sum game. There are clear winners and losers and I’ll be damned if I’m grouped in with the latter.
