There is no way for our world governments to fix the situation we are now in. Here are all the major factors from the top of my head;
- Debt based economy
- corporate insanity
- governments working hand in glove with said insane corporations as they mutually benefit eachother.
- demographic winter - meaning western countries are not reproducing themselves fast enough yet the old age population is increasing. This causes a complete collapse in the economy if the governments of the world do not import workers from other countries.
- this leads to ethnic and national confrontation which further deteriorates the socio-economic fabric of the society.
- couple in the "incel crisis" where large swaths of men are unmarried, childless and utterly miserable.
- women do not want to reproduce themselves and want to "live for the now" buying trinkets to fill the hole of motherhood using dwindling rare earth materials mostly controlled by china and north korea
- china experiencing the exact same problems due to the consequences of the one child policy.
- When china goes down, we go down. When we go down, nobody is buying so China goes down.
Of course, there is much more to it than this. But those are the major factors that need to be addressed otherwise its game over in the next 10 years.
The most major out of all of them is demographic winter/demographic decline.
In no time in history has a successful civilisation had a shrinking population. Everyone always says its a marker of success but it isnt, it is a marker of a sickness that has replaced the natural phenomenon of reproduction with materialism. Living in the extremes that we do now is not a successful civilisation if it is directly impacting our ability to replicate ourselves, is it?
Of course not. But it is also a socio-cultural issue from late stage capitalism. People have no reason to live because they have so much material wealth and so they become self destructive. Can't kill eachother so they psychologically destroy themselves and eachother.
Our current civilization has been built over thousands of years (in europe) with an ever expanding population. Especially in the last 100 or so years. With no young people to maintain the infrastructure it will slowly crumble and wont be able to sustain itself.
Couple that with an ever increasing old age population, the need for healthcare workers will be astronomical and so other sectors will go into the background or be completely ignored entirely.
Without an expanding youthful population, no innovation will take place because everyone is focussed on taking care of the elderly. Perhaps healthcare may get more advanced out of necessity but you can forget high speed railway systems, faster more efficient jets, faster more efficient gadgets and computers (unless directly tied with healthcare). The works.
Goodbye.
