I saw this overcoat a year ago at the duty-free shop. Similar to the one in the picture but with even better fabric and more vintage design It was absolutely stunning. The color was caramel and it was 100% wool, which is rare since most overcoats I’ve seen are blended with cheap polyester or acrylic. I never owned a overcoat so I tried it on, the fit was perfect, it draped beautifully over my shoulders and chest. The caramel color also made it versatile, easy to pair with almost anything. It was expensive but despite the price tag I liked it so much that I decided to buy it. Thinking I'd get a lot of use out of it.
It's still sitting in my wardrobe, just as beautiful as ever, but now collecting dust. I forgot to consider that I live in a hot tropical shithole slum and not in Saville Row in London. It’s far too warm to wear in this environment except during peak winters, and even then, I’d end up sweating. Plus, it’s such a formal and eye-catching piece that wearing it to air-conditioned offices feels over-the-top. I still try to wear it and I did I get a ton of compliments the handful of times I've worn it but for the price I paid it wasn't worth it at all. Brutal mistake
