Theory: No one actually drinks Whiskey

People that do not drink order Whiskey at Bars and Restaurants because it is the one drink that simultaneously sounds both macho and sophisticated (muh... "Ernest Hemingway"). They take a small sip once every few minutes. It is easy to moderate your intake of whisky because it tastes like ass.

Probably 1% of sales at liquor stores are Whisky. And most of those are bought as gifts, not for immediate consumption, hence why you will see most Whiskeys in fancy boxes at liquor stores.

One time, actually the first and last time, I had a whiskey it was apple flavor and I drank 3 cups of it. I vomited so much later that night I thought I’d die. Never drank it again after that.

Now I do the same thing with vodka…it’s a more mild flavor. Still vomit
