It's almost 4 in the morning and I'm honestly shocked by the number of homeless people I see around here. In some neighborhoods it feels like there are easily thousands it's hard to walk a block without seeing tents, sleeping on footpaths, hanging around with their belongings in carts or bags, some clearly under the influence of drugs. What's even more surprising is that many of them are quite young and able bodied. You'd think they could find some kind of work and try to live a stable dignified life but it seems like they've chosen this lifestyle. California should change it's name to the Homeless Central
