I personally believe conventional ratings on their own are useless.
You can quite literally just tell someone if they're average, mildly/heavily below average, or mildly/heavily above average based on their environment (e.g if they spend a lot of time at a public school in the West).
There's a lot of subjectivity to these ratings: Obviously, beauty is attractive, but people tend to focus on different parts of a face and prioritize them more. I've seen plenty of dudes see an LTN with HTN-level eyes and go 'oop if his eye area is HTN-level he must be an HTN!', or people who only focus on the jaw rather than the rest of the face because they believe it's the most 'masculine' part of the face, etc.
And along with that, they'd need to know their flaws. If FaceIQ Labs (I'm not affiliated with them in any way as of writing this post) was a software where people just marked a bunch of points on their face and got nothing but a number, it'd flop: what makes it so useful (in my eyes) is how it ranks each feature's harmony compared to the other facial features, and lists your biggest flaws.
Once you have your flaws, you'll now what to work on. But I don't think people want to know their flaws. I think people just want to see their rating and mentally jerk themselves off thinking about that single number. I'm not sure why, honestly, some people are so obsessed with the 'looksmaxing scale ratings'. Like what's the difference if someone's an HLTN or MLTN? They're still slightly below average, and their flaws are still the same regardless of the rating.
Sorry if this is a grey thread and it wasted your time. If you found it useful, then feel free to rep me.
