As bad as it is, it might turn out better for the internet as a whole.
Most people today spend all of their time online on social media made by big corporations and censored accordingly.
Forums like this are generally falling out of fashion. I'm willing to bet this is the first time most of these 14 year olds been on a forum and experienced a platform without censorship.
There is a real possibility of this experience influencing them to start more forums in the future, making the internet a little more free once again.
