Age related cognitive decline and accumulated lead poisoning has turned the avg boomer’s brain to mush. Yet our society’s wealth and political power is still concentrated amongst them.

They have the highest voter turnout and vote for policies to spite their grandkids and make their own decrepit lives more comfortable until they croak, with no regard for future generations. They hoard properties and assets whilst the working youth cannot get onto the property ladder, and blow what should be their children’s inheritance on shitty cruises, nursing home care and pointless medical interventions to grant them a couple more months of “living”.

We live in a gerontocracy and to me this is unacceptable. We should scrap most of their welfare policies (like the bullshit triple lock in the uk) in return for greater investment in the young (housing assistance, education etc), cease the use of public healthcare funding on walking corpses who have no quality of life and have an upper age limit on voting, holding political office and driving (retirement age imo).

Honestly I think the honourable thing is to just commit suicide when you’re too old to care for yourself, contribute to society and survive without being a parasite on the healthcare system

Their money just goes towards corporations instead of their kids as a means of wealth transfer from the working/middle classes to the owning class (who give their own kids lives of luxury)
