Pretty much. There’s two types of thick skin imo.

“Thick Skin”—things like water or fat retention, and facepulling, ostoeotomies, implants, fillers, etc. will produce bad results.

Thick Skin—actual above average skin thickness, and you can still look better after any of the above procedures.
^^You see plenty of black, Asian, Native American people with thick skin and still with good bone projection.

Me having a paid online consultation with both Eppley and Yaremchuk:. Due to your thick skin / thick facial tissue, you wont get any good results from implants.

I am 20% bodyfat right now though, what if I were to get down to low body fat and lose weight, would that make a difference?

No, because it's not due to the fat, but rather the thick skin tissue in your face unfortunately.

You: Some random on looksmax, who apparently knows more than Yaremchuk and Eppley.

Show me good transformation pics from them. I’m also in better shape than them. You’re coping because you’re too lazy to get on the exercise bike and lose some fat.

I’ve paid Eppley too. I apparently have thick skin too. Yet not once did Eppley say that it would limit me from achieving my goal. Don’t listen to this @honkhonkpatna retard

They don’t know what they look like at 13% bodyfat

Never seen themselves lean and think their face will not change at all when they lose fat? Jfl

Tbh it might be true. After 3-4 years of worst lifestyle i could pick (no sunscreen, 4-5l of Coke daily, tons of sweets instead of vitamin rich foods, not taking care about skin) and i still have top tier collagen and glowing skin. And yeah i have thick skin.

"Besides having facial hair, there are structural differences between a man’s skin and a woman’s. Androgen (testosterone) stimulation causes an increase in skin thickness, which accounts for why a man’s skin is about 25% thicker than a woman’s. In addition to being thicker, a man’s skin texture is tougher.

Sebum (oil) and its production also differ. After puberty, sebum production is greater in males than females, which is attributed to androgen secretions and accounts for why men have longer lasting acne.

Regardless of age, men also have a higher collagen density than women. Because collagen content is directly related to the signs of skin ageing, it has been said a woman’s skin is about 15 years older than a man’s of the same age. However, men are less sun savvy than women, meaning they don’t use sunscreens, and could contribute to why the “15 year” skin age difference is not readily noticed. UV damage from the sun can add years to a man’s skin and negate the benefit of slowed intrinsic ageing. "

20% is insanely high. You likely also have a lot of water retention. This is something where, they’d have a very hard time knowing how your face would look like at 8-10% bodyfat. Doesn’t matter what any doctor tells you, if you need to cut your bodyfat by more that much, they can’t really say they know exactly how lean your face will be afterward.

I am starting to think you have thick skin lol
I wish I had slightly thicker skin. I got my dads thin Anglo skin 😔

Honestly this isn’t a bad point, if you think about it, if I gained fat in the face, got on a high ass sodium diet, and consulted with Eppley or Yaremchuk, they’d likely tell me my skin is too thick, versus if I went right now.

Be happy then. Thick skin is a living hell lol. And 20% isnt that much, also I just assume that I am 20% bodyfat, could even be lower, and they still could tell by looking at me that it was thick skin. I am 5'10 and 86kg, no muscle mass.

Send me the pics you sent them. I own a bodyfat scale. My lowest reading was 13%, and right now I’m 15%. My skin looks considerably “thicker” than when I was at 13%, and that’s only 2%. Eppley was too bluepilled to tell you to lose weight.:lul:

At that weight with no muscle mass, you are at the very least around 22-26%.

For reference, 25+% is obese.

Im 5’11 and the leanest I ever got was around 135, so if I got to 190 lbs (about 86kilos) of just fat and no muscle, (assuming I was at 0% bodyfat at 135, which is impossible) I’d have 55 pounds of fat, and 28% bodyfat.

So trust me, if you are borderline to downright obese, I find it hard to believe you can seriously tell how implants will look on you once you’re lean.

Yeah those calculators aren’t too accurate.

If I’m 5’11 and at my leanest I got to 135,
Then at 5’10 with no muscle, you should be able to get to a similar number (really no reason you shouldn’t be able to).

If you got to 135, and let’s assume that gets you to 5% bodyfat (this is in your favor), then you’d have a difference in fat of 45 pounds.

45/190(your current weight)=23.68% , and this isn’t even adding on the other 5% of fat you’d have at 135.

Remember, obesity starts at 25%

@honkhonkpatna no offense man, but there’s next to zero chance that you aren’t clinically obese.

So if a doctor tells you they can predict how you’ll look with implants once lean, and that you just have “thick skin” that will prevent you from looking good afterwards, I’d take their statement with a huge grain of salt.

What a stupid thing to say. So ur saying u have no face fat at 20% bodyfat? How do u even know ur skin is “thick”? It’d be impossible for ur skin to be that thick where u lose a significant amount of bodyfat and see no changes. This whole “Thick skin” is a retarded cope started by @Gosick

Bad bodyfat distribution. It’s common. Look at Matt Ogus
That guy also roids, so facial bloat is common. And he doesn’t have great zygos.

But @Gosick should fix his hormones and get facial lipo or something similar, before he complains about skin thickness.

I can tell you exactly what will happen. Imagine you gently put the tip of a knife towards a towel, you will see the sharpness of the knife on the other side of the towel because the towel is think, now do the same but on a pillow thats much thicker, you wont see the knife tip on the other end because the pillow is too thick.

Knife = Bones
Thin skin = towel
Thick skin = pillow

Of course the skin will get pushed out, but it will end up looking BLOATED and worse, compared to with thin skin, where you are gonna get perfect lines.

20% bodyfat is obese by psl stansards. Your face is completely and totally hidden at this point. Surgeon rejected you becauae your ACTUAL face structure should be visible before asessing which surgeries would suit you. "thick skin" includes bloat and soft tissue in this context. Basicalmy a polite way to avoid calling you fat.

Dude do you never read what people write? I literally asked both of them, for the 10th time now. "DOES IT MATTER IF I LOSE WEIGHT?"

"NO IT DOES NOT, BECAUSE IT DOESNT HAVE TO DO WITH THE FAT, BUT THE THICK FACIAL TISSUE, SO EVEN IF YOU LOSE WEIGHT I WILL STAND BY THE SAME OPINION"

Ok?

listen to my advicd seriously. lose the weight. at 20 bodyfat the effect will probably be DRAMATIC unless you have extreme bird bones and once wright is lost, check for consultation again. Weight loss is numer ONE priority in looksmaxxing. If you achieve a true lean state you wont even lool like the samd person. You NEVER know what you realmy look lime or if your sirgeon will have the samenopinion qhen you show up being actually lean. Please follow this advice. Im surprised I have to say this at this point in a looksmax forum.

BMI is a super fucked measurement.

According to BMI scales, a lean bodybuilder can be considered obese—there’s plenty of videos about this on YouTube.

I already showed you that assuming you have lean body mass of at least 135 pounds, which there’s no way you don’t, then at 190 pounds you are at the very least around 25%, which is obese. You are likely more. Don’t cope about this. You’re clinically obese.

I’ve seen Eppley use this exact analogy. No two skins on normal people will ever have as much difference in thickness between them as a towel or a pillow. Maybe a towel vs 2 towels, and there, you will still get good projection from a knife underneath.

However, if like in your case, you’re obese, then yes, your soft tissue is likely more comparable. to the pillow.

Sure I agree with that, but you are still missing the point anyway. Whether I was 30% bodyfat or 10% bodyfat, Eppley can still tell the difference by looking at the quality of your skin, if it's thick skin it literally doesn't matter if you leanmax, there will never be angularity to your face due to the tissue being too thick and blocking bones.
