I'll use sugar and yeast only.

Anyone here has any experience brewing beer or making alcohol?

Don't you have to distill it to be drinkable?

Nah. I am not gonna distill it.

Distillation helps in raising the abv℅ but I am okay with 10-15 percent alcohol.
Distillation also has a lot of risks like methanol formation.

I just wannna get drunk

Baker's yeast will give you lower percentage tho.

The fermentation will stop at around 9-10℅ whereas brewers yeast can go until 15℅.
Idc cause 10 percent is good enough for me.
I'll drink about a litre of it
Lmfao You Can Make Some Rice Beer. But it smells like Shit tried it once puked.
Nah I am gonna use pure sugar or maybe molasses.

I made Mead (honey wine) couple of months ago.
Didn't age it for long, just let it ferment and kept it still for 4 weeks.

All i did is took around 2 tablespoons of honey, 2 pinches of yeast and a some water.
It tasted really good and had a nice effect, didn't make much though. I wish I made a barrel of it tbh.
I don't know how much abv it was though. But idk about it, i didn't get drunk for sure.

It takes a lot of patience ngl. I was stirring it everyday and made sure no air came and affected it.

I think with sugar and yeast, you might end up wit rum imo. Ik rum is made of molasses.

I'll suggest you that you mix your mixture everyday because you don't want it to taste nasty at the end.
Also, make sure it is a container that is not airtight, but it doesn't allow oxygen to enter into your mixture. The only purpose of not keeping it airtight is so that CO2 will escape and your mixture in the desired container will not blast.
Good luck.

I'm watching a rum review rn bro.

Lol i am not gonna make any rum.

Rum is distilled. I am making non distilled alcohol.
I'll use an airlock or something for the CO2

Try adding honey, date syrup, raisins or even grape with some cinnamon instead of plain sugar. It will taste better more interesting imo.
The longer you age it the better generally.

I think it is called saki...?

Pretty sure fermented rice wine is Japanese. I think ik why it probably smelled bad, maybe it's due to the original rice smell in general.
Sometimes when my mom makes batter for idlis and dosas, it smells strong.

Mead mogs imo, you gotta try it bhai. Anything else you've had before?

Distillation gets rid of methanol and other toxic substances, so you get mostly pure ethanol and water. Do it more than once and you'll obtain a very pure product. In my country you can get cheap homemade moonshine from farmers markets that's only distilled once, but the side-effects are more pronounced than the bottled supermarket stuff - more headaches, more nausea, worse hangovers. I can't even imagine the after effects of undistilled booze.

Undistilled one has very low concentrations of methanol.

Distillation carries the risk of concentrating both methanol and ethanol. Undistilled alcohol is much safer compared to distilled when produced at home
