Yeah surgery is risky that's why I only recommend it if you are close to suicide and have nothing else to live for. If you are able to get a girlfriend even an ugly one I would not consider jaw surgery.

It is maybe safe, but not in aestethic outcome. Surgeons want to make your bite perfect, and not your face for the sexual market. Thats the main problem.

Usually you won’t get a wide mandible and chin, but maxilla problems seems to be partially / totally solved, and if you look like a legit subhuman, just correcting your bite is a huge improvement.

It's more unlikely but it happens. I have been researching one of the best surgeons in the world, and there have been a few disappointments. It's still a roll of the dice, your odds are just better with a good surgeon.
