I think this rapid decline accelerated in the 2010s. Maybe that’s when we fully rejected the rational, and fully embraced the primitive. My theory is we became a sort of social matriarchy around that time.

Hypergamy is so rampant now that you need to project a perfect image in every aspect, so only the psychopaths are truly winning. It makes you wonder, what’s behind all of this change, and what purpose does it serve for humanity?

2) why just look at the 90s when u can look at teh history of it all instead, its difficult to classify the history of attraction, the norm is different for types of cultures, but in the modern age where the WHOLE western is unified by a dominant culture which is the internet culture from what i see, its very easily the attraction of aesthetics that dominate, i believe its the white type of culture that pushed the norms onto others, whites were the first ot adopt the internet after all, and did it aggressavely before the others, but im not sure if personality was ever the dominator, maybe in certain times where there was a struggle against something, like a virus, war, or whatnot where society didnt have excess time for beauty, but otherwise, especially in ancient greece and modern society, beauty is the norm for choosing partners

3)i think the thing behind all this change is more emphasis on looks because of no other factors coming into play or being important, however, even tho i said that, money is important in the long term that can explain the settling of women past their prime for richer men, and even the phenomena of models who have excess choosing more wealthier partners for status and whatnot, bc they are already beautiful, hypergamy is just a byproduct of what i discussed in 2)

The way i think we can solve this is the integration of the beauty into everyday norm, i always hated the isolation of art galleries and places where art is viewed in itself rather then it being normal, art and beauty in it should be worshipped, pushed to the front of society, art can produce beautiful societies if the people of the place know what theyre doing, like ancient greece, with their statues and musicals in the public for all to see
