using Retin A too much causes red dry exfoliated skin. Look at that dead skin around my mouth area and under the eyes.

please stop advising to use 0.1% retin A everyday.
applying 0.05% retin A 3-4 times a week is enough to keep a good collagen level and fight acne.

This shit is the bomb for counteracting tretinoin sides. Lasts all day. Really good ingredients too. Basic moisturisers just don’t cut it.

so your acne cleared up a lot more on 0.1 compared to 0.05?

I always wanted to switch to 0.1 anyway, but just take it slow and first get used to 0.05 for a few weeks then 0.1

I use 1/4 tube everyday on my face/body and back.

I wake up everynight feeling on fire and any exposure to sun makes me itch like crazy

Would do it again.

Ye, I use this.

Don't use it when you apply tret at night though, you'll just ruin your skin's natural hydration process.

use sunscreen and moisturizer dipshit, avoid prolonged time in the sun, and wait a couple weeks for your skin to adjust to new products. every single derma recommends applying every day.

below sea level iq, how the fuck does applying a moisturizer stop retin a from working jfl. every single derma recommends using a moisturizer after applying retin a or you will destroy your moisture barrier which is what's happening to op
Personally, I have been using retain-a every night for months and do not have any dead skin around my face. I apply moisturizer and sunscreen in the morning and moisturizer after retin-a at night

Wait so you shouldn’t use moisturizer at night?

That's just a part of the process.. I've been using it daily for a long time and when I started I had peeling all over my face for a week or two and my skin adjusted on its own. If you are skinmaxxing you gotta get used to having a peeling face. Every time I microneedle or TCA peel I have skin coming off for days afterward. Use vaseline on your face at night, especially eye area, sides of nose and forehead. During the day use a moisturizer that works for your skin.

Just remember that women are knowledgeable about this stuff and if you are peeling they will assume you had a chemical peel done or something. Big deal.

I never said this you fucking autist, lrn2read.

Moisturizers in general weaken the skin’s barrier function because they alter the natural function of skin self-hydration. By adding moisturizer you're only further destroying this process, not helping it you dipshit.

just don't do it everyday

Thanks for the heads up, looking good OP

you do realize applying retin-a is damaging the moisture barrier and not applying moisturizer after retin-a will further destroy you skin barrier. that is why op has peely skin jfl. if you don't even know that, what the fuck do you know about skin?

So how often should I use moisturizer in your opinion?

I use retinA 0.025%, nearly every day. I had zero problems with flaking.

I took, though all the precautions adviced:
* I only use pea size amount or Retin A
* I used moisterizer (15 minutes) before I put on the RetinA
* The next morning, I use moitserizer and sunscreenevery day.

So I moisterized the shit out of skin, and protected the shit out of my skin with sunblock. My mid 37 year old skin, that I just strated treating for less then a year; looks like a mid 20's men skin. Smooth.

It's localized at your lips as that's where most movement is, thus making the product stronger and more likely to cause sides.

JFC, you are braindead. I said MOISTURIZERS IN GENERAL are harmful to the skin's natural hydration process.

Where are you getting this idea that tretinoin destroys the skin barrier lmao, it increases the cell turnover rate which does the exact opposite.

i get that you think you're being logical but just because you can piece two things together like cell turnover and moisture barrier doesnn't mean you have a clue about what goes on. you can literally search up retin-a and moisture barrier, lmk the results. enjoy your flakey fucking skin tard.
