Private Equity wasn't what it used to be imo
Back in the early 2000s, hardly anyone outside finance circles even knew what PE was, so firms could swoop in buy up undervalued companies, strip them for parts and flip them without much scrutiny. Remember Bain Capital's old plays or KKR's classic leveraged buyouts those were the wild west...
Leaving a few replies there was no single intellectual discussion under thread. Hardly any insightful replkes in the thread. Half of what I said flew over users head. They don't even know what I'm talking about. Reddit ironically is a better place for posting stuff like this tbh.
