Like yea if you went back 2000 yrs ago someone from Tunisia would be more culturally similar to a Roman than say a German would be to a Roman.

But it ain’t 100 AD anymore, nowadays North Africans, and Levantine people have basically 0 in common culturally with southern Europeans

I can tell North Africans apart from southern Europeans pretty easily. Levantine people are way harder to tell apart. Most of them could pass as southern euro.

Their features are different

North Africans usually have much curlier hair, their darker too.

they have genetics from ancestral North Africans who migrated their from east Africa, as well as Anatolian Neolithic farmers and early European farmers who migrated into North Africa

And some sub Saharan dna from the slave trade. This has given them a different look compared to southern euros
