most people would have said this guy needed a full bimax but this genio had a significant difference. do you think bimax would have been better for this case?

Looks like a success to me. Perhaps he could have gotten even more additional forward growth if he desired it, had he opted for both but I think he looks fine in the after pictures.

forward growth might have impacted the side, but do you think it would have made a real difference from the front? in your opinion

Yes. Changes to the side profile are noticable from the front. (Take it from someone who had a large genioplasty advancement.) Especially in person.

Can you get a sliding genio and get your chin widened and more verticalin the same appointement?

i don’t believe you can make your chin wider except with an implant. However a genio can give both vertical and forward projection at the same time if planned by your surgeon.

It’s also possible to do a second sliding genio after the first one is healed to get even more forward growth. That’s what I’m doing. I’ll post results when I get them.

You can have your chin widen and vertically moved in the same procedure. I can pm you a surgeon who does it but don’t share it publicly I don’t want his prices to increase

Would look comical if he was caucasoid

i mean in terms of bimax not just chin advancement

I think that if done by the correct doctor, genioplasty can work wonders. I've seen even better results than the man above. People underestimate the surgery's impact in my opinion.

Fingers crossed for my 13mm genioplasty advancement. I have Andrew Tate level chincelism (not recessed in the jaw though).

when you pull the chinbone forward, it brings with it much of the soft tissue in the surrounding area, giving the illusion that the entire mandible is brought forward. It’s why after a genioplasty you don’t look like the wicked witch with a disproportionately long pointy chin.

i don't know whether or not bimax or genioplasty is the best course of action for me. my main goal is aesthetic and if both would produce a similar aesthetic result both frontally and from the side, i would think genio would be best

i hope u ascend

Most people will be disappointed with just a genio. Genio with Bimax is what you want, trust me. Even this black guy would have been an absolute Tyrone with a bimax + genio, and he he has one of the more successful genio only that I’ve seen.

He's still very recessed. Chin far behind brow/glabella

I think Genio is much better than Bimax unless you have a truly flat face/ recessed maxilla. My Genioplasty was a success since the only thing truly recessed was my chin. After moving it forward and down all the other good facial features became visible. You need a very good surgeon though.

Both only genio, both the same doctor. He charges about 8k USD for this. Well worth it IMO.

He needed both

Probably a good amount, maybe 0.75 psl
but which areas would have been impacted? i can't really see him ascending that much more from bimax

lower third in general including jaw and nose probably would be improved

2nd result is still subhuman he should’ve gotten bimax.
He went conservative with his genio. He was so recessed that 14mm was the bare minimum. His chin is still not aligned with his lower lip so either he had a bluepilled surgeon or he was too afraid to "look different".

Nevertheless, I agree with you a bimax would have been a better solution.

i need both as my lefort 1 and nose spine are slighltly recessed.

bimax moggs genio only unless only your chin is pulling you back like Larsanova.

well from side profile bimax will obviously be better but it many times it produces minimal frontal ascension

3/4 and profile is very important IRL it gives you depth and forward growth is rare and aesthetic.

can 't be a slayer without predator forward growth.

+ "flat maxilla " is very bad failo it keeps me away from being above MTN although i have decent front and bonemass.

Bimax has become a meme. It might have benefitted this guy a little more than genioplasty, but I doubt it would have made a huge difference. For a lot of people, the investment of time needed to undergo the whole bimax process isn't worth it, but for genioplasty, it might be.

How much advancement did this guy get?

Correction: genio can indeed widen chin
