Pitt is gone forever at this point. Sinking like his hyoid. He has his hair though.

Leo is probably the best active actor tbh, always on point and always picks to star in 7.5+ rated movies. Still looks good despite his bloatmaxing attempts.

Jfc at Robbie, I always thought how normies overrate her but she was so fuckable throughout the entire movie

Plus that jb mirin Pitt in the car

The film was good, I loved the 60s era and the overall vibe, makes me feel nostalgic even though Im a zoomer who doesnt even live in the west. the duo together felt very realistic, the dialogue is something youd exactly expect with 2 good friend just chilling. (Recall that scene where they watch Dalton in fbi).

The ending scene made me cage, Tarantino knows how to make shit get chaotic real quick. I can still hear the hippies screaming in my mind jfl

It sucks that we have to rely on big name directors to give us good movies in this age. Like is nobody interested in movies anymore?

What kind of movies do you consider “good”?

That actress playing the JB was 22, and pretty much looked it.

Yea Leo demonstrated some good acting.

Robbie was like in her own movie if you realize you never see her with piit, dicaprio, pacino or any other stars. Anyone of a 1000 actress could have played that part. Pretty sure she was wearing a wig.

You didn’t care about her hairy armpits ?

But yeah it’s my favourite movie for this year

Home invasion scene was so awesome

...

The Irishman was an absolute snooze fest

Haven’t seen it yet

Didn’t love it but I don’t really like Tarantino’s style in general. Car jb was bad af for sure.

Highlight imo was Leo acting in the western, he fuckin crushed those scenes and the 4th wall aspect makes you really pay attention to his insane talent.

Off the top of my head

There will be blood
No country for old men
Memento
Whiplash
Good will hunting
The Departed

Idk about the recent movies, I don't watch a whole lot tbh. John wick trilogy is reviewed many times as "good" but I find it insufferable how stale it becomes. He does the same 3 fight moves in a rotation cycle lol

Yeah Tarantino teased us the whole movie thinking that eventually at least one of them will fuck her, surely Robbie will notice Pitt shirtless on the roof...

Then similarly you think surely she gets brutally murdered as the narrator tells us where and what each of the characters were doing in the night. But it was like a near miss scenario, it could have went wrong for her as she was living her life.

Fuck that shit, don't remind me. Insta turn off at that moment

Haven't seen Irishman but it sounds like a "one last time" with mob actors.

Tarantino's style isn't for everyone it seems. Like this movie was generally uneventful with a flat story until the end but it's more artistic I guess. I'm not sure to describe it tbh

Yeah that's really interesting how we take good acting for granted, we oftentimes forget the actors are trying to act and never pay attention to the fine details of what make great acting. We don't see leo talking to his friends and making coffee, we see Rick dalton doing those things.

But the moment we see bad actors the whole premise collapses and becomes an unwatchable mess.

I actually thought Brad Pitt looked pretty good for his age. I could see girls in their early 30s being into him at an upscale nightclub or something, especially if he's working the hair hard

this. i doubt he even get hard at this point though. his libido is probably extremely low. however for his age he is in the top 10 percentiles for sure. he is almost 56 - for 80% people their prime is over in their early 30s...brad pitt looked good way into his 40s

I guess i thought that was because Leo was always brutally mogging beside him

A Hollywood A listed Actror at that age likely has a personal trainer and takes test and HGH on the daily, so I have to disagree.

I Like all the movies you listed.
You should watch any of Denis Villenueve’s films I consider him to be *currently* the best “newcomer” director, though at this point anyone who follows film considers him a well established by now.
His most accessible and the ones I recommend:
•Prisoners

•Sicario (just the first someone else directed and fucked up the sequel)

•Arrival

•Blade Runner 2049 (is a sequel to an 80’s film so you’d have to get through the original blade runner or if you can’t stand old movies then just watch an “everything you need to know before watching blade runner 2049” video on YouTube—avoid spoilers for 2049 though)

If you only watch one of his films, watch Prisoners. My favorite of his is between Blade Runner and Arrival but Prisoners is very close behind, and is an excellent film that to this day has near zero bad complaints, while there are definitely people who have complaints about Arrival or BR 2049. Everyone I have ever recommended Prisoners to tells me they loved it.

besides reservoir dogs and pulp fiction i don't care for tarantino. thought hollywood was boring. i only really watch older comedies and gangster films these days

Don't care about movies that are set in reality.

Never been a fan of observing humans facing everyday struggles.
