I want to take it for my eyelashes and speed up hair growth (I’m not balding).

Is it harmful? How do I avoid the side effects? @Vista @Seth Walsh @NorwoodAscender

I don't know how to avoid side effects on oral minoxidil, but you could just use castor oil, i use Castor Oil BP (British Pharmaceutical Grade), its more organic and nutritious plus if it gets in your eye it helps with your eye health anyways, first 3 weeks of using i saw insane eyelash growth, i have stopped for about a month now but I'm bout to hop back on just to get those final lengths in. It should the do same for hair growth btw.
Side Effects: i have noticed from this is when i put it on it makes my eyes fuzzy (because its thick) so apply before bed

I’ve tried castor oil and it didn’t work that well. It’s more of a conditioner than a growth stimulant.

greycel lol keep flexing you spent more time on this forum than me brother
And? What’s your overall point here. That because I have 4k posts give or take, that would necessitate I’m omniscient?

topical minox goes systemic anyway and because of the amount being used with oral minox youre actually getting more minoxidil sulfate (active compound) so greater effect with less systemic exposure

True but what about the bad side effects regardless?

I’ve read bad side effects like heart failure or some shit

i cba to get all the evidence again but to sum it up oral minox is extremely safe under 2.5mg (when you use 1ml topically you actually get more than this systemically) and hair growth can be seen at doses as low as 0.25mg so you can start super low if you want

Get the evidence. Cause all what you said is complete horseshit. Oral minoxidil, even at low doses, is not safe. There's a reason why it was pulled from the market. Just take dut and topical min is enough, and avoid your heart exploding in your chest with oral min.

Thanks for looking out. But I think he meant well. Oral minox is relatively safe I thought? I mean doctors prescribe it don’t they?

Also I’m using this for eyelashes and faster hair growth. I need something for that. IM NOT BALDING GUYS

It’s being re-introduced in micro dosages (0.25-5mg) by many doctors currently. Oral minoxidil poses risks at high dosages, think 50mg+. Also, it’s mainly people who already have hypertension who are more likely to have negative side effects.

The difference in effect of oral vs topical is simply very large, oral is the obvious victor.

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33639244/ :
Conclusion: LDOM has a good safety profile as a treatment for hair loss. Systemic adverse effects were infrequent and only 1.7% (23 out of 1404) of patients discontinued treatment owing to adverse effects.

yeah but make sure to shove it up your ass, it works better

If the pharmacy sells it without prescription. You know that its fucking candy. Oral Minox has no effect on your androgens.

Yes i know thag the pharmacy only sells topical minox, but it goes systematic too. And most people just drink topical because they cant get oral minox. Some people have higher heart rates on oral minox sometimes. But the odds are so fucking low.
Try it out and if you have side effects use latisse on your lashes. The op of that thread you linked is sub80iq and dumb asf. Its just the same with finasteride. Some people here „omg saar SAAR FINASTERIDE TRANNY DRUG SAAR“ and instantly believe you will turn into a faggot femboy from 4chan who rots all day on r9k. No thats not how it works.

The odds that you will get any sides from Minox is so rare. I dont think anything is going to happen.

Pretty sure haircafe already made a video heavily criticizing this research study, and came to the conclusion that the design was flawed and had many study biases. Cba to read and dissect the trash again.
Topical min goes systematic too
Yeah no shit almost any lipophilic molecule that adheres to Lipinski's rule of 5 will go slightly systemic if applied topically. This is the difference between topical and oral. Topical goes systemic at levels so low there's almost 0% chance of side effects (hence why it's OTC and oral is not). And there's still people that get side effects with topical, mind you.

Haircafe is not exactly an advocate of real science. Man is out there bashing oral minoxidil while advocating for finasteride, which is arguably way more dangerous than oral minoxidil…

Alright so what’s the best thing for my eyelashes? Thats the only reason I considered using oral min

Alright, now I know you're a literal retard with no background in science and just quoting abstracts/conclusions from studies. Thanks for proving. FYI oral minoxidil carries a black box warning label, finasteride does not.

Nothing really, except oral min. However because of the risk/reward ratio I personally wouldn't recommend it to anyone. But if you don't give a fuck about your heart health go ahead. Don't be surprised when you notice your stamina plummeting and hearing your heart beating loudly in your chest when you try to fall asleep or having angina pectoris (chest pain) while fucking a woman :ROFLMAO: Wouldn't advise applying topical min on lashes, although some people do it. I'd rather just apply a tiny bit of mascara.
