Thoughts on replicas?

While looking for chain styles, I ran across the subreddit r/JewelryReps. I browsed for a bit and thought a lot of them looked 'good' (I have no knowledge about how they're meant to look, so take that comment with a grain of salt), but it made me think of the question of what people thought about buying and wearing replicas. If they were 'good enough', is it a big deal?

(My personal opinion): To me, I don't really care. I don't think I would buy a replica, but I think it's because I never really cared about brands like that to drop hundreds on fakes. Like, I would prefer to buy something that looked nice, not because it came from a specific brand. So by that logic I would just go with another brand that sells something similar for cheaper. These are more 'identical copies', so they're coming from a different seller but you're not meant to know that by glancing at them, and so on. I don't think I personally care if someone buys and wears replicas, especially if it's a good quality one. It's not really my business. Unless they were bragging about owning it or something corny.

I was just looking at chains in general. I didn't plan to buy any fakes personally. It's just when I was looking for ideas of where to buy some from, I ran across a subreddit that talked about buying, selling and owning fakes, and thought it was interesting.

If I were to buy a 'fake' chain, it would have to be high quality not Shein quality, but chains aren't one of those things you really need to buy a fake for. I was looking at all kinds of chains, it would be my first chain ever so I was just learning about them mainly. If you have any suggestions I'd be down to hear them though.

If I were to buy a 'fake' chain, it would have to be high quality not Shein quality, but chains aren't one of those things you really need to buy a fake for. I was looking at all kinds of chains, it would be my first chain ever so I was just learning about them mainly. If you have any suggestions I'd be down to hear them though.

total so far, about 2k? ex: my Jordan 4's I paid about 50-60$ for them, they go for over 1k, etc I can also send you pics of the stuff if you want

First chain for sure I'd go with silver or stainless steel. I would stay away from gold chains completely for the most part because they don't look good imo. Don't want em to be very long either like them rappers and shit.

for me personally all of my rings and chains are all from Shien normies can't tell the difference neither can I

and it doesn't rly matter all that much for me it's way better to get my stuff of Shein than spend money at a jeweler

When it comes to jewelry u should always buy the real deal or just something cheap off pull and bear for example.
When it comes to for example shoes or trousers u can buy them fake because most people wont notice, shirts needs to be a very good replica
