I’m talking about the maxilla sutures
"The zygomaticomaxillary suture is the longest and thickest maxillary suture (ZM in Figure 1, Table 1) (51). It is completely patent on CT until age 10-15 and remains incompletely interdigitated through the 7th decade in cadavers (19,52,53)."

read the articles bro

send the article

this is likely referring to the pterygomaxillary suture which is behind the eye and holds the maxilla to the rest of the skull (aka not important for thumb pulling). the article i sent also says that this suture is considerally interdigitated by age 12.

the important ones are the zygomaticomaxillary suture (ZMS) and zygomaticotemporal suture (ZTS) which both close in your 60s

"The zygomaticotemporal suture is the most lateral suture of the face (ZT in Figure 1, Table 1). It is one of the last sutures to close, with interdigitation starting in the 7th decade in cadavers (52)."

these are the sutures that are targeted by thumbpulling and will have the changes on our maxilla appearance because they run within the maxilla, and not between the maxilla and another bone, so thats why thumbpulling expands and moves the maxilla

in conclusion thumb pull until death

alr maybe ur right, idk i was just regurgitating what jawhacks on yt said, since him and mike jew seem to be the most erudite when it comes to this topic, with thumbpulling how hard does one need to do it ?

just pull as hard as possible while maintaining the technique, so as much force as you can without your thumbs slipping down towards your teeth, youll know if you do it right if your arms get tired after 60-90 seconds, and once youre finished you might feel it in your palate and maxilla a little bit too, dont worry about pulling too hard because thats literally impossible unless your some kind of roided powerlifter, just focus on keeping your thumbs in the right place and pull as hard as possible without thumbs moving
