I mean this isn't a horrific question, it's smart to question things.

Experience-wise it's hard to tell, since the current demographic consists of mainly teenagers who are still going through puberty, in which case if you got attractive during puberty but were coincidentally also thumbpulling, you would credit thumbpulling.

The issue with thumbpulling is also the mechanism, it's a watered down version of what a palate expander does, and a palate expander alone doesn't give you any significant difference in bigonial, bizygomatic or really any facial width measurment.

I'm saying it's cope because the mechanism it relies on it already proven useless for aesthetics, but there is a chance it could actually widen your palate, you'd just need to have an open midpalatal suture and thumbpull a lot. But still no difference on your zygos, jaw, maxilla, or anything. Just a wider-toothed smile if anything

genuinely ily for putting in effort to answer but also what do you think about Oscar Patel.He preaches that thumbpulling just loosens fascia so the tongue can actually do something.This might actually be dumb question coz im just saying what he did and i have absolutely no knowledge in this subject

The issue is that this isn't a binary thing, OP wasn't asking if it worked, he was asking for the science behind why it doesn't work OR somebody who is experienced with it.

the tongue isn't being blocked by tight fascia, so loosening the fascia doesn't really do much either tbh
