I'm a Southern Gentleman and here are some tips to help you be more of a Gentleman
-A Gentleman always walks curbside of a lady. (That means, he walks on the part of the sidewalk closest to the street.)
-A Gentleman does not fart, burp, or make other bodily noises in the presence of others
-A Gentleman does not use profanity in front of others
-A Gentleman always holds doors (including car doors) open for women and strangers alike
-He pulls out her chair at the restaurant
-A Gentleman always dresses for the occasion. Whether it's a black tie affair, or a beach party, he will dress accordingly
-A Gentleman never holds grudges and is always quick to forgive
-A Gentleman speaks softly but carries a big stick
-A Gentleman never asks strangers what they "do for a living". He may, however, ask what church they attend
-A Gentleman always makes sure to not make others feel uncomfortable
Let's take a note from the greatest of Southern Gentleman: Robert E. Lee
"
I cannot trust a man to control others who cannot control himself. Robert E. Lee"
