I would just do it in the dark, or just don't show your face. The call is to verify if the escort is real, wearing a mask would probably scare the escort. Just don't show your full face, just show your eye area in the dark or just don't show it all. The video call is usually them showing their face and if they're real you just say "okay, we can set up the date," and you hang up and you guys exchange the needed information.
