TMJ surgery cosmetic benifits

I have TMJ on the right side of my face, my parents are not opposed to me getting surgery to fix it. I am aware that it will fix my asymmetry for the most part, because it comes from a muscle imbalance. Is there any other cosmetic benefits to getting the surgery besides fixing the muscle imbalance?
