Ima newbie on the construction site been here for a few months learning all i hear is from these older dudes which they seem like genuine guys i like speaking with them, but all they say is “do better than me kid” “get out while u can” “if i was ur age id done things differently” and so far i dont mind the work but i dont want to be in there position hating it in a few years and having regret and being in a position where im stuck there all my life and cant change my career what shall i do is it really bad down the line, or should i get out?

thats actually a really good thing
what those guys are sad about is wasting their perceived potential
they feel like they couldve achieved more in life but didnt and ended up just doing trades until the end
they see that you have lots of time (potential) and dont want to see you regretting your choices later on
but as long as you enjoy life doing that and dont feel the need to do anything big its fine

My advice is to do different things but avoid having a career. Move around a lot and do different jobs.

Idk, I see construction guys make the same as office niggers. The culture is a lot less gay than the woke hr corporate office. It does put a strain on your body though

I went to Asia to teach English. I'm white. Don't need a degree. Can just bribe for a work visa over there if you don't have the credentials.
