Tongue position

I have a horrible overbite that I correct by jutting (I look subhuman without jutting) and whenever I bring my chin forward there is a little gap between my top and bottom teeth.However, this causes my lips to looks INSANELY thin, so I correct it by placing my tongue in between my lips to pump up my lips just a little. Is this bad for me? If it is are there any corrections I can make to make myself not look sub5? or is it just over
