Took a dslr pic

I took a dslr pic today from straight angle and i noticed several things

1) i look much better than how i look in the selfie. I'm trucel tier on phone selifes - low ipd , bug eyes, large jew nose, narrow face etc. But in dslr pic, even though i look chubby (20% bf) i have good ipd, good fwhr and decent eyes. Eyebrows are higher set than i usually thought. I don't know if that's an accurate representation of how i look irl . If it's true, it's good

Tl dr: I look more human in dslr than selfies

2) Chin to philtrum ratio is 3:1 jfl but it still doesn't look Superman tier. Is it because of fat maybe? Can I get a v taper jaw by losing fat ? Gonial angle is close to 90 degrees something.

3) still my face looks like a kidbecause of high set eyebrows and baby fat around the cheeks. I am 23 and people think I'm 18

Be aware that some highend cams make you look better than you do irl, as they have a better focal lenghth than than the eye lens

Mine is Nikon D3200 i bought it from 2014.

If im correct in saying so, iphone 11 cam's focal length is closest to that of the eye

I also took pictures of my family and I think they looks same. Maybe it's because her face is already inside my brain so i percieve them that way idk

Dlsr looks more human eye like .. u don't need to spend a lot of money on the latest camera with a million megapixels.

I got a 100d for about £120 from ebay with the kit lense

It's all about getting that focal length right and a nice big sensor for clean sharp images

Yeah. You don't need a Canon 5D to get good pics. There was a post back in lookism where insta models use Sony A6000 for taking selfies frauded as phone selfie
