I am curious if there is much of a difference in effectiveness between liquid or foam minox.

I’ve seen foam can be easier to apply because of quicker drying time.

Curious to see if anyone has any info or studies on effectiveness between the two for topical.

Solution
onkymog
effectiveness basically the same at equal concentration and dosing

solution has propylene glycol better penetration but more irritation

foam no propylene glycol dries faster better tolerated

So Theoretically it’s better to use liquid because of penetration but ease of use with foam and less time constraints because of faster drying?

theoretically yes liquid may penetrate slightly better due to propylene glycol

practically foam often wins because faster drying less irritation better compliance

microscopic penetration differences mean nothing if application is inconsistent

the best version is the one you can apply daily without skipping

Is there a specific brand or is it pretty straightforward across the board for foam Minox

pretty much straightforward across the board generic foams and rogaine foam are the same if concentration is the same

some people find minor differences in texture or scent but no big efficacy gap

so pick based on price availability and how your skin reacts to it
