The reason I asked for his coffee consumption though is because it will determine if someone is a non response or hyper responder to minox, I think.

Caffeine blocks these adenosine receptors by binding to them, but not activating them, thus blocking adenosine's effects. This causes Minoxidil to work less effectively because its main mechanism of action got blocked so in theory it should work less in people with high caffeine intake.

You can look up before and afters on reddit and they got good results, still you can try oral or maybe drinking castor oil that seems to give really good results too
