Topical minoxidil for eyelash growth

What are people thoughts on 5% topical minoxidil for eyelashes growth. I have been carefully applying on my top eyelash line twice daily after applying vaseline around the orbitals. I have gotten redness and inflammation around the eyelash line but that's abt it.

Just apply on eyebrows with finger, eyelashes will grow collaterally

I used to apply topical minoxidil in my lashes for a 4-5 months and did get growth but I stopped because of the irritation (dryness and redness) it causes to my eye area. Topical water version of minoxidil contains propylene glycol which is hella drying to the skin, if u wanna proceed with topicals then use foam instead.

Could you describe how good the results were

I would say results were mediocre given the time frame. I did get a few new lashes though it wasn't filled to the brim as I would've hoped. It lengthened my existing hairs rather than creating a lot of new ones. From what I've seen online, lash serums like lattisse will give you better results within a shorter time frame though those come with their own risks.
