Traditional Braces Mistake

I made the mistake of having traditional braces for over a year now, I’m in puberty is it over?Should I switch to Damon?

Also what should I request to my ortho/ask (I heard I can improve significantly without Double jaw surgery)
I’m retarded in this area so please help me out guys.
