Traditional Braces with Class 2 Bands for Overbite. Will it recess me any further

recently consulted with a ortho and he said traditional braces with class 2 rubber bands for my overbite would be the best solution. Should I opt for something else or will getting braces recess me and ruin my already bad side ?

You're already pan faced, you cant be recessed. Either way why would orthodontic appliances recess you, when there's a whole class of orthodontics to prevent that [airway orthodontics]?

You're Asian, the most normal face is a pan face, basically having a flat maxilla
