Sup guys. Been taking 30mg accutane for three weeks now. Skin is finally starting to clear up nicely only a few deep pimples that are yet to surface. Now i'm pretty much at the point where i'm just left with lots of hyperpigmentation marks. Its widely known that any harsh treatments aren't allowed while on the drug so no microneedling or chemical peels i guess. My stack now is like 3 grams vit c, 200mcg d3 and k2, red light therapy and sauna 1x a week. Also using a face wash with a bit of niacinimide in it and just a regular moisturizer. I'm making gains quite slowly on this protocol so I was wondering what has worked for you guys.

I'm also considering taking Accutane. I've got a few questions:
1. Does your face feel normal? Or does it feel dehydrated?
2. Have those tiny black circles around your nose disappeared?
3. How smooth is your skin now?
Thank you.

I have taken accutane for a couple of months, so I can answer from my experience:
1. Feels generally dry, especially if you cleanse often and do not apply moisturizers. It is expected that the dermatologist would adjust your dose accordingly, though.
2. Absolutely. The nose feels nice and smooth now, with no visible pores. A great benefit I was not expecting.
3. I noticed no changes on that. If less acne equiperates to smoother skin, then yes.

Overall I would recommend it but be aware that you will have chapped lips in principle.

i feel the same as the guy who answered your question. it depends on the dose though so you can expect more side effects with a higher dose. I regret not taking this stuff earlier. People online make the side effects sound a lot worse than they actually are and for this reason me and many others are walking around with shitty skin and bad self esteem

I have a similiar stack as your but I add the following:
- Collagen powder, between 5 to 10 g
- MSM for skin (and hypothetical eye lightening)
- Betacarotene to get a warmer undertone during winter. Still unsure if it is making any effect or if I should overdose
- 0.025% tretinoin at night. During the day if you stay outdoors without SPF it will cause skin redness, better to avoid it. You should also keep an eye on not exceeding the recommended toxicity limits of 300,000 UI vitamin A
- Vitamin e serum at night as well, keeps the skin smooth and glowing
- Cod liver oil pills to reach a 1:2 omega-3 omega-6 ratio. The omega unbalance was perhaps the major factor causing me acne. You can also add salmon depending on your budget

By the way, did you notice any benefits from the red light therapy?

Thanks might have to look into MSM and collagen powder. Are you taking accutane while you're using the tretinoin?

Regarding the red light therapy, i'm not sure. I got this lamp like 15 months ago and have used it whenever im chilling on the pc. I remember noticing some results at first but i haven't gone without it for a while now so can't really say if it makes a difference. If it does help its nothing too major (bonus it's actually quite relaxing to have a red light shining at your face). It's like 40 bucks on aliexpress so it's nbd.

Yes, I am taking 20 mg of accutane daily. Putting tretinoin on top of this could be a bit overkill but 0.025% is not much and if I only apply it at night I experience no skin peeling or anything of that sort.

I deduce you do not wear glasses during the time you have the lamp turned on?

nah its not a very high wattage lamp, no problems for me if i dont look at it directly and if i do the vision goes back to normal in like a minute. Might have to jump back on the tretinoin too if it works fine for you lol. Considering its one of the more effective treatments for the hyperpigmentation. I'm also interested in trying out dermarolling now on the red spots but people online are saying its risky business but so is tretinoin according to them so idk

I was on accutane for 21 months 40-60 mg per day ,just broke out again and hopping back on in a week ;

1;very dry but just use moisturiser the usual morning, night and add in somewhere in between if necessary (I also recommend infadolan on top of moisturiser, but not in morning as it makes you look gay alien

2;yes the blackheads on nose completely went away and mine used to resemble a strawberry 🍓,

3;I look like pizza 🍕,my skin was completely clear but I still had/have bad acne scars
