I am M/15, still growing. I'd like to try tret first and accutane if I get no results but if I were to go straight to accutane would it be recommended since I am not done with puberty?

do not take accutane at 15, minimum 18, fucks up your hormones and drys your skin
yes accutane works but it is not worth it at such a young age
just eat healthy (your still 15) and dont eat shit like bread
dont just care about carbs fats protein, you should care about vitamins
wear sunscreen too i made that mistake once
tret is good but ive never tried it, BUT you are still young so let your puberty play out first and go to a dermatologist if you want

Accutane/Isotretinoin is mostly safe even if you're 15.

what i meant is that it can influence hormones but not change them permanently
androgen activity decreases, acne improves without lowering test
it can also somewhat affect cortisol and maybe give you depression when taking it (side effect) especially because the guy is 15 and his hormones are all over the place.

Free testosterone actually improves with isotret, DHT and total testosterone is suppressed.
But, free testosterone is the one you want.

Also, the whole dries your skin arguement is irrelevant. Just use a fucking moisturiser.

how can accutane improve free test
my brother took 20mg ed for a couple months he is recessed + his skin got a little better but still acne, although he does eat like shit

Isotretinoin induces the separation of testosterone from SHBG, thereby increasing free testosterone levels and inhibiting the transformation of testosterone to DHT.

The difference isn't major, but in no way does it mess with hormones. The only worrying aspect is the DHT reduction, but depending on the severity of acne, it's often worth it. At 15, his face has likely finished developing. DHT after total craniofacial development is only good for penile and clavicle growth.
