big theory coming up but as there is a big scare of dWat fat loss from tretinoin which is not ideal by far. Instead of using tretinoin what if we were to dermaroll the face and use redlight therapy instead. Obviously the argument against dermarolling is you can use up your bodys collagen levels pretty quickly and after a while it becomes a looksmin, but what if you were to dermaroll and take collagen supps? Then surely your body will always be able to replace the collagen from dermarolling and also you will be renewing you collagen with the red light therapy thus negating the need/unwanted sides caused by tretinoin. If im wrong then someone prove me wrong and i will delete this thread

Why wouldn't you want a hollow cheeks potential from that fat loss?

Lol if you think it will give you spot redution, you'll end up losing fat arounf the eyes. Leading to worse undereye support and more exposed UEE

You see these fat pads buddy? Different for cheeks and different for eyes. You aren't supposed to apply tret near the corners of eye/eye area. Imo tret doesn't penetrates into fat pad unless directly applied on the skin area above them. There are forum users who applied tret and still have great under eye support.

maybe they applied around their eyes as well?

I doubt it honestly, many of these people are on prescriptions for it, Retinols are known for somewhat affecting vision in some people and so a good dermatologist would advice against using it around the eyes.

Even so, @Soalian used it avoiding the eye area but still had fat volume loss in that region, probably cause it spreads while being absorbed into the skin

Most dermatologists already know application of tretinoin around the eye area is dangerous, tretinoin is a controlled substance in many countries, so many people who end up with prescriptions would have been advised to avoid the eye area. It's still very common to notice loss of fat volume in tret users especially over long periods of usage.
an example of a dermatologist's advice on using tret;

" And be sure to avoid corners of the face (around the eyes, nose and mouth) because the product will cause excessive irritation."

Regardless I've seen some people even on this forum who have reported fat loss volume despite not applying. I'm not saying don't use it, I'm saying don't use it expecting loss of fat only in the buccal and malar region.

Afaik tret doesn't spread from fat pad to fat pad, I usually don't trust very few cases from users here(most might just be delusional/faking it) but can you tag them?. Dermos recommend not using it near eye area bc of the possibility of fat loss from that fat pad ig. Also specify "long periods"

The whole point that dermarolling isnt the holy grail like some people claim is because you can end up using all of your collagen, but do the supps not even help your body produce more cllagen?

I dont want to become paranoid about fat lose. I've been using it again and notice my undereye messed up again lmao...

Need to further analyse cuz I only use it up to my zygos

Starting to think tretinoin is mostly for oldcels (40+ with sundamaged skin) who don't have much facial fat to begin with. If you use it as a youngish person it gives you a weird look tbh, at least it did for me.

how? which look?

You should be doing all that already, stop tret 1 week before dermarolling and apply vitc instead, greycel.

Where’s the evidence tret burns away under eye fat? All I’ve heard is speculation. Dermatologists advice keeping all skincare treatments away from the eye area because the skin is very thin. Too much irritation could = more lines etc.

I put tretinoin on my stomach and legs and it was basically like getting lipo in those areas. Great fat loss tool.

Not srs you phucking retards

Hey bro these ladies look likebtgey lost fat under the browridge. I dont understan how thats possible because we usully dotn apply any prodyct there. Another thing is that it looks like their under eye area itself improved (less fine lines and wrinkles) Last year i started adapalene and noticed irritation (burning) and a line appeared under the eyes (it was literally dry the skin and almost tearing apart) and it rediced. Now i started retin a and the same line seems to have appeared. (Its like a cut) do i need to mositurize, use vit e oil or vaseline? Sorta confused. Ethnic skin btw

Tf is this, tret subcant fat loss is barely even proven, and if it was true that it caused subc fat loss I have seen no one who has used it for years be more affected than those who haven’t. Just don’t put it under your eyes. And a face lift is all you need to compensate when you are older. Benefits of tret outweigh the cons 10 fold.
