Does tretinoin have any negative effects and how does one actually get a prescription for it?I don't typically have atrocious acne but I deal with bad breakouts from time to time despite using skincare products (more than likely making it worse). I'm interested in it because it probably is one of the only things that will almost guarantee results without having any hormonal changes

Talk to your dermatologist and ask

or just buy it grey online

What qualifies you for a prescription though does it have to be severe acne or will they just give it if you just tell them youre sick of having skin like a popcorn ceiling

If your gonna go to a derma and ask for prescription, might as well ask for accutane which is better in my experience

I haven't noticed any really bad sides even though i have sensitive skin. The one thing I have noticed is abnormally chapped lips, although it is winter so that could be why.

Is accutane bad for your hormones and liver or is it exaggerated? For context I'm 16M and I don't want to mess with my hormones because I'm still developing partly.I don't think my acnes bad enough to justify accutane because most guys I know who went on it had severe acne, worse than mine, anyways.

In my experience all my liver test before and after treatment stayed the same. theres no relation with hormones

Well apparently it is a pretty potent treatment so I guess that could be expected, I wouldn't really mind irritated skin myself if It's gonna mean I get clearer skin in the long run
