always start on 0.025%, do not try to start higher, it will backfire. you need to work your way up. 0.025% will still yield great results over time

yes, and start with 0.025 like the other guy said, more strength doesnt always correlate to better results, even though 0.05 is better u should always let ur skin adapt to 0.025 first

ive been on and off various different strengths for a year, i made the mistake of starting too high.

I would say:

Start with 0.025%. Moisturiser first and then apply the cream after (pea size or less, evenly distributed on face). Do it every 3/4 days to start with see how your skin reacts. Work your way up to every night or every other night. Avoid it going too close to your eyes, or collecting in the divot on your chin.

Most important is you must wear 30 spf+ sunscreen everyday.

do all of this and you will reap the benefits
