WhatsApp Image 2026 01 09 at 130957 2

this the current plan surgeon said 2mm maxilla foward at ANS and 4mm at upper teeth is this too low?
and then genio to match

what i really want is that
Screenshot 2026 01 12 at 121918AM
my class 3 lip assessment to be fixed but also without causing chimp lip / flat upper lip

so i was wondering if 4mm at ans and 6 mm at upper teeth will be too much

would love to thank @yussimania for his help too
thank you for the help
video:

another thing i noticed is that my upper teeth are slightly flared forward:

surgeon said surgery first is fine tho

yes the real question is 2 mm at ANS + 4 mm at upper teeth vs 4 mm at ans + 6 mm upper teeth

you’re doing it solely for the lip assessment right ?
You think it’s worth the money and recovery ?

Your front will barely change too

genio will change front slightly but the main part is the side - i think the lip failo and philtrum from the side is pretty brutal imo

wdyt of his movements @LEFORT17 ?

the rotation and chin advancement for lower lip support could help. movements are def good. op doesnt need more than that

yup both i instantly recognised the sub nasal cut. you can see it from the front when he shows the plan, the ANS (anterior nasal spine) gets cut around to avoid nasal changes. he also does ramus widening which u can see from under when the back proximal segment of the mandible (ramus part) gets widened.

no one will go there anyway, Brazil has always been mentioned on the forum

i dont think u need 6mm upper incisors movement. ur not hard recessed in that area. its also the part of the jaw plan where people can get chimp philtrum. ur fine with 4mm

Not worth it imo. get a genio instead
Your lip misalignment is most likely caused by soft tissue.

his maxillary incisors are flared in the CT scan so I'd imagine it would be a worse lip allignment before orthodotnics was done

you think i can get better result with decomp? my bite is stable rn but i am just wondering if i can get even better result with decomp

decomp = more advancement + it's generally just cleaner to do so

I don't think you need more advancement you will get a satisfactory result from the plan currently

instead of spending money on ortho u can get fat grafting done for the eyes
