why would they care? it's your quality of life that suffers because of others not caring about you, not theirs. they can just move on, while you are stuck with yourself. never understood this coping mechanism.

people who are losing their hair also cope this way - "no one cares about your hair as much as you do". no fucking shit they don't care, it's not making their lives 40% worse.
