Idk anything about Gurkhas tbh. But maybe they were fierce. Thing about these finnish soldiers always was that they were not professionals, they were regular farmers who didn't necessarily want to go to military service/war, but still dutifully did their job.

Haha same with gurkhas, they are people who live in mountainous region in Nepal. Averaging about 5'3 in height they are probably the most fierce people pound for pound. They are the sole reason why Nepal is the only Asian country which has never been colonized nor successfully ever defeated or invaded. When Britain couldn't invade Nepal because of them, they started to recruit them and now they have a special Gurkha battalion in their army.
