Two Good Samaritans are left with serious injuries after they were attacked 'when they stepped in to stop two women being sexually assaulted'
Two men, aged 19 and 25, spotted the girls 'in distress' in Hanley, Stoke on Trent
They stepped in to stop the attackers but were assaulted and left unconscious
Both were taken to hospital with one requiring facial reconstruction surgery
Friends and relatives praised the pair, saying they 'showed pure bravery'
Police have also released descriptions of two men they want to speak to following the attack. An appeal for information says they both men are black, and one was wearing a white, short-sleeved t-shirt and black waistcoat with blue jeans. The other was wearing dark clothing.
I'm sure the girls had BLM in their bio on IG
