Ethmoid Compression
Ethmoid compression refers to a situation where the ethmoid bone, which is located in the upper part of the nasal cavity and between the eyes, is more compressed or positioned further back than normal. This bone plays a key role in the structure of the face and eye sockets (or orbits). When the ethmoid bone is more backset, the eyes are deeper set, and the protruding orbital bones seem more protruding.
To compress the ethmoid bone, you can:

-Correct maxillary recession through BTT pulling
-Correct swayback posture (which causes ethmoid protrusion)
-Relax the Procerus and Buccinator muscles

Orbital Sutures
The two main orbital sutures are the rontomaxillary suture and the frontoethmoidal suture. Placing tractional forces on both of these sutures (using both thumbs) for 3-10 minutes daily can loosen the surrounding structures, fascia, and the suture itself.
When a suture is loosened, the bones that the suture surrounds have easier adaptation. A loosened orbital suture will allow for better orbital movement from thumbpulling exercises.
