Like the view of france in peoples minds is like, grape vines, nice warm weather, the eiffel tower, small cramped streets, tight streets and apartments and museums and cobblestone roads, romantic restaurants.

I imagine UK is like england: big ben, its nighttime, its foggy and damp and there are bright lights in peoples house windows. Its like france but colder and we can understand them
scotland is like foggy wasteland with warriors or something or maybe edinburgh castle im not sure
wales would just be england or they know nothing abut it
northern Ireland would be ireland and same again

france to me (someone from UK) looks so familiar yet I think its mad how there are ppl who think in french and have lived in such cute french towns as I see in Amelie

France and UK are phenotypically and genetically almost same but culturaally they are extremely different given how close they are.

They are so same yet so different.

I thought the same watching 'Amelie' right now. Its like watching a movie set in britain with some weird twist to it in a language I cant understand.
