Ultimate Filler Dissolving Guide
Mythbusting and Whistle Blowing
Learn from My Story

Introduction
There's a lot of debate about fillers
Good

- From my extensive experience with fillers, they can ascend you hard

Bad

- They can also descend you if they are not done well (bloated, feminine look)

- The MASSIVE benefit to getting hyaluronic acid fillers as opposed to implants is that they can be "easily" removed through injection of an enzyme called hyaluronidase
- However, dissolving them is not as easy as the public believes

- I have had over 100 vials of hyaluronidase (dissolver) injected into my face over the years
- Here is everything I have learned

MUST READ: Only Use HA-Based Fillers
- If there is one thing I hope you take away from this thread, it is that you should NEVER, EVER get anything other than hyaluronic acid based fillers injected into your face
- Why? Because non-hyaluronic acid based fillers are not reversible with hyaluronidase

- If you get injected with non-hyaluronic based fillers and don't like the results, you are literally fucked for life
- If you are looking to make irreversible changes to your face, JUST GET IMPLANTS OR OSTEOTOMIES, DON'T DO IT WITH FILLER

- People claim to be able to dissolve non-hyaluronic acid fillers like Radiesse with sodium thiosulfate
- This is misinformation, all it does is disperse the Radiesse, which is good for fixing nodules, but will just spread Radiesse throughout your face and mutilate you even more

AVOID THESE NON-HA FILLERS AT ALL COSTS
- NEVER get Radiesse
- NEVER get Bellafill
- NEVER get Sculptra
- NEVER get Silicone injected
- NEVER get non-hyaluronic acid fillers injected into your face PERIOD

- BONUS: NEVER get grafted fat injected
- Why? It permanently destroys the way your cheeks' soft tissue function "glides" with movement
- Proof? Quote from top oculoplastic surgeon Kenneth Steinsapir on RealSelf:
"I see 3 to 5 new consults each week from individuals who were persuaded to have free fat grafts to their under eye hollows and top of cheek area. Generally the are concerned with the irregularity that is created but overwhelmingly the other issue that troubles them is that the way that the upper cheek and lower eyelid heap up when they smile was altered by the procedure. Removing lumps of scared fat in the lower eyelid is not straight forward but not impossible. Restoring the way the smile lines heap up is clearly impossible. Your unoperated lower eyelid and cheek possess an amazing internal gliding ability. the natural, unaltered layers possess an amazing gliding ability that handles and redistributes the skin of this area to beautifully handle how this tissue heaps when we smile. Once this tissue is messed with, that heaping characteristic is forever altered and unfixable. You will not realizing the cosmetic benefit you are hoping for. Even laser resurfacing and radio frequency treatment have the ability damage this glide function. Loss of this gliding function can not be recovered. Likely non ablative services (e.g. Clear and Brilliant) is less likely to be associated with the "gumming" up of the glide function but they are also very modest in what they can accomplish. In terms of the slight loss of volume in the under eye circle area, hyaluronic filler Restylane is probably the best of the services for helping this area but you are asking for some one to sculpt your tear trough. Very few injectors are fussy enough to do these services. Please exercise caution out there so you are not harmed and heart broken."

Some HA-Based Fillers Instantly Migrate
- HA-based fillers are gel-based liquid fillers
- They are LIQUID, and because of this, ALL fillers are prone to migration
- With that being said, some fillers migrate MUCH further and faster than others
- Why? Because of their G-Prime/Elasticity

- Some fillers have such a low G-Prime that they will literally migrate down your face and into your jawline by the end of the day
- Some fillers have such a high G-Prime that it is literally like having a rock in your cheek and makes it painful to move your face
- The key is picking the right filler with the right G-Prime

- Low G-Prime fillers are easier to dissolve
- High G-Prime fillers are harder to dissolve

- NEVER get Belotero (migrates down your face by the end of the day because it's so liquidy)
- NEVER get any Juvederm product (overall, just a shit product line, literally called MOVE-ederm by clinicians, and it's a BITCH to dissolve)

My Choice of Filler
- I have been through MANY different fillers over the years
- The filler that I have found to be the most safe and versatile is Restylane-L (not to be confused with Restylane Lyft)
- Why? Long history of safe use, very easy to dissolve, and good G-Prime to avoid migration
- However, I must state this is MY preference and addresses MY needs, others may prefer a different product for their face and needs

- I have also heard good things about the Revanesse line of fillers, but I have not personally had it injected, so be careful

HOW TO AVOID THE BLOATED FEMININE LOOK
- In my opinion, if you are a young male, NEVER get filler injected into your cheeks (if you are older with ACTUAL volume loss, then that's a different story)

- Be CAREFUL with filler into the under eyes, needs to be very conservative

- Be CAREFUL with filler into the jaw, needs to high G-Prime, but will still bloat you over time, but some people get good results, but NOT recommended

- The one place I really like filler is for the CHEEKBONES
- In my opinion, the trickiest place to get implants right is the infras/cheekbones
- I find that filler for this area is a lot more "predictable" and you can get away with adding volume here CONSERVATIVELY without destroying your face
- And if you don't like it? DISSOLVE it

- Overall, BE CONSERVATIVE, I think no more than 1-2ml of filler belongs in a man's face PERIOD

BEST WAY TO DISSOLVE YOUR FILLER
- Find yourself a provider that acknowledges the existence of filler migration and understands how each filler interacts with hyaluronidase
- Find yourself a provider that does ULTRA-SOUND GUIDED FILLER DISSOLVING
- Why? Otherwise your provider is injecting your face blindly and you will waste a shitton of money with repeat visits trying to get it all out

MYTH: Fillers Dissolve on Their Own
- It is believed that the body naturally metabolizes the filler in your face over time
- While I believe this is PARTIALLY true, I believe that what is actually happening over time is MIGRATION and flattening of the filler over time
- On the outside, it looks like the filler isn't there anymore, but actually, it has just spread out and bloated you even more

- If you had fillers years ago and think that they have dissolved on their own, please, just go in, get dissolved, and thank me later for looking chiseled again

MYTH: Dissolving Damages Your Face
- One of the biggest fears around dissolving fillers has to do with the fact that hyaluronidase will dissolve your body's natural hyaluronic acid
- THIS IS TRUE, your hyaluronic acid will be broken down
- HOWEVER, your body regenerates this HA rather quickly, and does so on a regular basis

- Again, I have had literally over 100 vials of dissolver injected into my face over the years and have noticed NO signs of damage to my face as a result of temporary hyaluronic acid depletion
- If they did a case study on me and the insane amount of dissolving I have done over the years, people would largely stop fearing this effect

- HOWEVER, I will note that I am young
- In older patients, the ability for one's hyaluronic acid to regenerate may be somewhat compromised, so be careful if you are older

ALERT: Providers Are Injecting You with JUNK Dissolver
- From my experience, I have dealt with MANY providers that don't know how to properly store their hyaluronidase (hylenex)
- Dissolver needs to be kept in the fridge for it to work properly (I've seen them pull it out of the drawer i.e. it's useless)
- It also needs to not be expired
- It also needs to be ACTUAL DISSOLVER and not just water (many providers are scammers)

- To avoid getting scammed, ask them to bring the vials in so you can see them in person to verify that they are in fact COLD, NOT EXPIRED, and ACTUAL HYALURONIDASE

- Also, make sure that you are not paying any more than $300 a vial, which is still a criminal price, but any higher, just GTFO and go somewhere else

THEORY: Hyaluronidase works less and less over time (ANTIBODY RESISTANCE?)
- The first time I ever had dissolver injected, 2 vials successfully dissolved all of the HA filler in 3 days in my face no problem
- After years of experimenting with fillers and dissolving them, I am 95% convinced that my body has developed a tolerance to dissolver
- In other words, I believe that my body now has antibodies that target the hyaluronidase, which makes it less effective in dissolving

- With this in mind, be careful with dissolving over time, as the dissolver will be less and less effective
- It takes me DOZENS of vials now to get filler out of my face, which is a BITCH now because I am looking to dissolve everything and get implants

- It still works, just takes forever, so be warned

TLDR
- Only ever get hyaluronic acid fillers injected
- Not all HA fillers are the same, pick the right one (Restylane-L)
- As a guy, stay away from the cheeks, and stick to the zygos and undereyes
- Fillers do not dissolve on their own, they just flatten and migrate
- If you want to get dissolved, go to a provider that understands how hyaluronidase works and uses ULTRA-SOUND GUIDANCE
- Dissolving fillers does not destroy your face
- Many providers are injecting you with junk dissolver, make sure you are getting the right stuff
- IN MY OPINION, your body builds a tolerance to dissolver over time, so be careful
- Do your research, and stay safe out there
