I agree that Cloud looks White, and he probably is in the mind of the guy who made him, but his core features are still Asian

Every single one of their protagonists and even main characters look white. There are exceptions like Tifa, Rinoa and Garnet look Asian, they actually look really half Asian.

The only character they made that was actually Asian looking was Noctis.

Even then, the Versus XIII version of Noctis which was really a cancelled game looked way better and authentically Japanese

I follow a random WMAF couple where this Japanese girl and her German bf cosplayed as Cloud and Tifa and she looks ironically exactly like her

I think the goal was making him look like his father when he was older
