People overlook how important an accent is.
I live in SEA and have an American accent and I get compliments for it each time I speak. I unfortunately don't get to speak to people of different cultures often and aside from the Filipino accent which my country is actively trying to trade in for an American accent, I only get to hear Western ones. Since I'm not that exposed to people of different cultures, I find all different accents really cool, even the ones that are unfortunately considered 'unattractive' such as any South Asian, Southeast Asian or African accent.
My favourite accents are ones that I'm not exposed to that frequently but come off very strong.
I love hearing people talk English with a heavy French, Russian, Japanese, German accent.

Also on this topic, I'm throwing a little shade at Americans but I swear that half of all Americans are handicapped at changing their accent when speaking in a different language. I've noticed that most people somewhat change their accent when speaking in a different language but whenever I talk to an American who is trying to speak Filipino or any other language for this matter, they talk in the same volume and strong accent and it sounds so retarded lol, and no, I don't appreciate the effort, it's bad enough that I have 40 people listening to our conversation because you're white and have a JBL speaker for a larynx and now you're making it even more awkward. (Nah jk, I love interacting with American folk)
